Engineering Technician III (T3)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions, is seeking an Engineering Technician III (T3) to support the design, testing, and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems for semiconductor equipment in Austin, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine to moderately complex electro‑mechanical tasks including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical subsystems, and execute new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, and written instructions to conduct testing and troubleshooting, and compile logbooks and test procedures.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on Applied Materials platforms according to engineering and manufacturing documentation.
• Observe all safety standards, maintain a clean work environment, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

• No supervisory responsibilities; works independently within established procedures.
