Electronics Assembly Technician

About the role

Seasats is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician to support the build and assembly of maritime vehicle components, including cable harnesses, motors, sensors, batteries, and antennas. The role involves hands‑on work in a fast‑growing ocean‑tech manufacturing environment, collaborating with experienced technicians and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and terminate wires to construct vehicle cable harnesses.
• Perform quality‑control checks on own and teammates’ assemblies.
• Document production processes and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Pot waterproof assemblies and handle tasks such as splicing solar‑panel cables.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of advanced soldering and cable‑splicing experience (IPC certification preferred).
• Proven general electrical assembly skills: stripping cable jackets, tinning wires, crimping Molex connectors, and SMD soldering.
• Strong interest in building an organized, well‑documented production process.
• Excellent patience, finger dexterity, and attention to detail for terminating multiple fine‑gauge wires.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and humility.
