About the role
Peraton is seeking an Electrical/Networking Engineer to support NASA’s scientific balloon program at the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine, Texas. The engineer will work on the design, integration, and testing of networking and electrical systems used on balloon payloads and ground support equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement network architectures for balloon payloads, including access‑control and system topology.
- Develop and support electrical circuits, assemblies, and devices for flight hardware, ground support hardware, and test equipment.
- Perform complex integration and testing of networking and electronic systems, including FlatSat mission simulations.
- Plan, manufacture, install, operate, and maintain electrical and networking components for balloon missions.
- Provide technical support during launches and recoveries at domestic and international sites.
Required profile
- Ability to work onsite at Palestine, TX and travel to launch locations.
