Division Controller

About the role

The Division Controller will serve as the financial anchor for West Techs' Dallas division, reporting directly to the Executive Controller/CFO. This on‑site leadership position supports a service, project, and maintenance‑driven business with multiple cost centers and labor‑intensive job costing.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the executive office to deliver accurate divisional financial results aligned with company fiscal goals.
• Direct preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide performance insights.
• Lead and mentor two direct reports, fostering professional development within the accounting team.
• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including real‑time job costing, labor efficiency tracking, margin analysis, AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
• Design and maintain internal controls and financial procedures to protect assets.
• Serve as primary contact for annual audits and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support data‑driven decisions.
• Own or support ERP workflows related to job costing and revenue recognition.
