Director of Student Services

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a seasoned leader to oversee all facets of student services. Reporting to senior administration, the Director will ensure seamless recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and student engagement across campus.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of student services, including recruitment, promotion, admissions, attendance tracking, discipline, and academic alerts.
• Conduct campus and program tours, provide prospective students with detailed information, and guide them through the admissions process.
• Oversee admissions testing, documentation collection, and registration support.
• Deliver comprehensive financial aid counseling, assist with applications, and process documentation for programs such as TAA, WIOA, HDC, ARS, and other providers.
• Represent the university at job fairs, career fairs, college nights, and other recruitment events.
• Coordinate student engagement initiatives and collaborate with campus departments to enhance the student experience.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in higher‑education student services, admissions, and financial aid administration.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with prospective and current students, families, and external partners.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
