Director of Stewardship & Strategic Communications

About the role

The Director of Stewardship and Strategic Communications will join the Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) Advancement team to cultivate a culture of gratitude among donors. Working closely with senior leadership, the role ensures donors are informed, engaged, and recognized for their contributions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage stewardship initiatives for GUMC’s most significant donors and partners.
• Design and implement acknowledgment, stewardship, and engagement activities.
• Coordinate visits and tailored communications with senior GUMC leaders.
• Serve as liaison to secure data and content for financial and impact reports on endowed and current‑use funds.
• Develop and execute a communications strategy that highlights philanthropic priorities, gratitude, and impact.

• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with timeliness.
