About the role

The Director of Real Estate Operations leads Greystar's Management Services business for a defined portfolio of stabilized multifamily assets. Reporting to a senior operations leader, the role translates corporate strategy into measurable results, ensuring each property meets operational, financial, and resident experience standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive portfolio performance by aligning Regional Property Managers (RPMs) with property‑level strategies and regional goals.
• Oversee operational execution, ensuring timely implementation of initiatives and compliance with company standards.
• Conduct regular site visits and property inspections to validate standards, mitigate risks, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Hold RPMs accountable for performance, provide coaching, and ensure transparent communication with senior leadership.
• Maintain financial integrity of the portfolio, monitoring budgets, forecasts, and reporting results.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of progressive multifamily experience in a leadership position.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale stabilized assets (approximately 3,000 units).
• Strong ability to lead and develop high‑performing regional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and client‑relationship management.
