Director of Housing and Residence Life

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee its housing and residence life programs. As Director, you will shape safe, inclusive living-learning communities that enhance student success, retention, and personal growth across campus.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall administration of all housing operations, residential education, facilities, staffing, and student support services.
• Design and deliver holistic educational and social programs that promote student engagement, belonging, leadership development, and personal growth.
• Oversee student conduct processes, crisis response, and compliance with university policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with the Dean of Students and other campus partners to align residence life initiatives with the university’s mission and student‑centered priorities.
• Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation for residential facilities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in higher‑education housing, residence life, or related student affairs leadership roles.
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop programs, and manage complex operations.
• Strong knowledge of student conduct, crisis management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering inclusive communities.
