Director of Accounting

About the role

The Director of Accounting leads the company’s accounting function, ensuring accurate, GAAP‑compliant financial reporting and a robust internal control environment. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role partners with senior leaders to improve processes, enhance financial visibility, and support scalable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all core accounting operations, including month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Review and approve financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee sales and use tax compliance, filings, and coordination with internal and external partners.
• Support external audits and income‑tax activities, coordinating data preparation and audit schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting workflows, controls, and system efficiency.
• Lead optimization of financial systems such as NetSuite and Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Partner with the CFO and operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Mentor and develop the Controller and accounting team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading an accounting function in a GAAP‑compliant environment.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, audit coordination, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, controls, and system integrations.
• Experience collaborating with senior leadership on budgeting and strategic initiatives.
