About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for its Oxford, MA Service Center. The role involves day‑to‑day equipment maintenance on a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and occasionally forklifts, working the 3rd shift (1:00 am – 10:30 am) on a full‑time schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines, Class 8 trucks, and trailers.
- Maintain ancillary equipment such as overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and perform welding tasks as needed.
- Use the Cetaris system to create and manage work orders.
Required profile
- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
- Ability to lift 50 lb and possess personal tools.
- Experience with AC and electrical systems on heavy‑duty vehicles.
