Diesel Mechanic – Full‑Time Shift Position

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join its Manchester, NH service center on a full‑time, second‑shift schedule. You will maintain and repair a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines.
• Service Class 8 trucks, trailers, lift gates, dollies, and overhead doors.
• Diagnose and repair AC and electrical systems.
• Conduct trailer preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs using Cetaris work order system.
• Perform welding tasks as required by location.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a diesel mechanic (preferred).
• Ability to lift at least 50 lb and work independently.
• Own set of tools.
• Experience with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Familiarity with trailer PM procedures.
