Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time, 2nd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join its Manchester, NH Service Center on a full‑time, second‑shift schedule. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company’s fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day equipment maintenance, including preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts.
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and conduct welding tasks as required by location.

Required profile

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, major repairs, AC and electrical systems, and ability to lift 50 lb.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance and diesel engine repair.
• Familiarity with Cummins and Detroit engine families.
• Trailer preventive maintenance and repair.
• Use of Cetaris work‑order system.
• Air‑conditioning and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Basic welding proficiency.
