DevOps Engineer II

About the role

Yotta Energy is looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer II to own and optimise the software delivery lifecycle from code commit to production deployment. You will work closely with software, hardware and product teams to build automated, observable and resilient cloud‑connected platforms for solar and energy‑storage solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines from development through production deployment.
• Manage software releases, including branching strategies, build promotion, deployment and rollback procedures.
• Monitor and maintain production applications, cloud infrastructure and supporting services.
• Configure and maintain observability platforms (logging, metrics, monitoring, alerting).
• Troubleshoot production incidents, performance bottlenecks and reliability issues.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi or similar tools.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure applications are deployable, testable and production‑ready.
• Support integration of cloud services, IoT devices and embedded systems into deployment workflows.
• Maintain release documentation, runbooks and incident response procedures.
• Implement security, scalability, reliability and disaster‑recovery best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Operations or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Git workflows and release management practices.
• Experience deploying and supporting cloud‑native applications in AWS (or Azure/Google Cloud).

• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, GitLab CI/CD.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi, Ansible.
• Programming/Scripting: Python, Bash.
• AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, EC2, RDS, S3, Route 53, Load Balancers, IAM.
• Observability: logging, metrics, monitoring, alerting platforms.
