Designer I – Entry Level Design Position

About the role

RIOS, an international design collective, is seeking a Designer I to join its interdisciplinary team. This entry‑level position supports the full design process across architecture, placemaking, landscape, and experience design, helping turn bold ideas into resilient, sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in ideation, modeling, drafting, and visualization throughout project phases.
• Create graphics, diagrams, renderings, presentations, and early technical documentation aligned with design intent.
• Communicate concepts through visual, written, and verbal presentations.
• Conduct research, precedent studies, and sustainability investigations.
• Maintain organized project files, documentation, and collaboration platforms.
• Support digital modeling, visualization, documentation, and presentation development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years of professional experience in design or architecture.
• Strong design sensibility, creativity, and passion for innovation.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, and self‑motivation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to a positive office culture.
• Commitment to sustainable and responsible design practices.

Required skills

• BIM workflow knowledge.
• Digital modeling proficiency.
• Visualization techniques for presentations and renderings.
