Dealer Commercial Services Senior Business Development Officer - Southeast

About the role

Santander’s Dealer Commercial Services (DCS) division is seeking a Senior Business Development Officer for the Southeast region. The role focuses on expanding commercial banking solutions for automotive dealers, including floorplan financing, syndicated lending, and treasury services.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new commercial business and maintain a portfolio of existing dealer clients.
• Discuss client needs, arrange meetings with internal functional teams, and provide consistent, high‑quality service.
• Represent Santander at civic and community events to enhance brand image and generate opportunities.
• Assist in the implementation of company‑wide business development call programs and strategic plans.
• Pre‑qualify clients, identify cross‑sell opportunities with strategic partners, and pursue leads with relationship managers.
• Document calls, results, and report to management while focusing on brand awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 9+ years of experience in lending and/or new business development within commercial banking.
