About the role
The Office of Human Resources is seeking a Data Specialist to establish the data and reporting foundation for the new UN Staff Selection 2.0 system. This three‑month consultancy will work remotely, collaborating with HR, ICT and recruitment stakeholders to design data models and reporting specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Review existing documentation and understand the structure of the inspira Data Warehouse.
- Gather, consolidate and articulate data reporting requirements for Staff Selection 2.0.
- Identify data capture points throughout the end‑to‑end recruitment workflow.
- Design and document data models covering skills taxonomies, job profiles, assessment items, candidate data, selection outcomes and workforce indicators.
- Support the creation of standard operating procedures for future data monitoring and analytics.
- Evaluate proposed changes to the recruitment platform and develop corresponding reporting requirements.
Required profile
- Individual contractor with experience in data analysis, data modeling or related fields.
- Ability to work independently under the supervision of a project manager.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
