Data Engineer – Hartford, CT

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Financial Services unit, supporting digital transformation initiatives for banking, wealth management and insurance clients. The role is based in Hartford, CT, with the possibility to work across other US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and related tools.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to define solution designs and ensure alignment with cloud best practices.
• Write, review, and maintain code in repositories, performing code reviews and version control.
• Implement testing strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality.
• Provide user training, documentation, and support for new data solutions.
• Participate in production support, incident resolution, and proactive reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to deployment.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.
