Data Engineer Associate

About the role

The Data Engineer Associate will design, build, and maintain the data architecture that powers Bosch's smart‑factory initiatives. This position is a core component of the Industry 4.0 strategy, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and process automation across the semiconductor manufacturing site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support, administration, and monitoring of Oracle and MS SQL databases across the Bosch semiconductor network.
• Install, configure, and tune database environments to ensure performance, availability, and data consistency.
• Design, build, and run scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data storage solutions (relational and NoSQL).
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using DevOps practices; deploy containers with Docker and orchestration tools.
• Automate data workflows, system monitoring, and operational tasks to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and manufacturing engineers to deploy, monitor, and maintain AI/ML models in production (MLOps).
• Work with global DBA teams and other infrastructure, security, and application groups to meet performance targets and SLAs.
