Data Acquisition Manager

About the role

The Data Acquisition Manager will lead the identification, evaluation and onboarding of external data sources that support LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ insurance auto and home products. Reporting to the Data Acquisition team, you will work cross‑functionally with product, analytics, legal, compliance, finance and technology to bring new data assets into the business responsibly and profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate external data opportunities aligned with strategic product priorities.
• Build and manage relationships with data suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
• Conduct supplier due diligence, data assessments and onboarding to meet business, operational and compliance requirements.
• Negotiate commercial terms and support contract development in partnership with legal and business stakeholders.
• Oversee transition of new data assets from evaluation to implementation and operational hand‑off.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage governance activities and handle renewals or issue resolution.
• Develop business cases, recommendations and status updates for executive decision‑making.
• Ensure all acquisition activities comply with internal policies, risk standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience managing external data or vendor relationships.
• Proven track record in contract negotiations and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong research, financial analysis and business‑analysis capabilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
• Executive presence with professional presentation abilities.
• Understanding of technology and database applications.
• Detail‑oriented and able to handle multiple issues concurrently in a dynamic environment.
