Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

Join our team as a Cybersecurity Specialist and lead the protection of mission‑critical enterprise systems. You will oversee security operations, drive vulnerability management, and ensure compliance with federal security frameworks while supporting a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events, alerts, and incidents across the enterprise.
• Conduct recurring vulnerability assessments, coordinate patching, and validate remediation using tools such as Qualys and SonarQube.
• Implement, maintain, and enforce security policies aligned with NIST, FISMA, and Section 508.
• Support internal and external audits, risk assessments, and incident‑response exercises.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams to embed secure practices in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Administer identity and access management, including privileged access controls and access reviews.
• Document incidents and compliance findings, communicating results to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and track emerging threats to improve the security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, information security, or IT security.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.
