Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

Agile Defense is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join a client‑focused cyber defense program. The analyst will work remotely to monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security threats across the organization’s IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support security event monitoring, triage, and incident response within a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Document case information, escalate complex incidents to senior analysts, and recommend countermeasures.
• Conduct cyber hunts, digital forensics, incident response, and malware reverse‑engineering activities.
• Intake, triage, and process new incidents, implementing proactive blocks and detective capabilities under supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or a similar role.
• Public Trust clearance (or ability to obtain one).
• Relevant certification such as GCTI, CISSP, CompTIA CySA+, or DoD 8140 baseline (Sec+).
