Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to lead and manage Beacon Industries’ cybersecurity compliance programmes, focusing on CMMC Level 2 readiness and DIBCAC High assessments. The role will oversee IT security operations, conduct risk assessments, handle incident response, and maintain security documentation while coordinating with external assessors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CMMC Level 2 compliance and DIBCAC assessment activities.
• Conduct comprehensive risk and security assessments.
• Develop, update and manage cybersecurity policies, procedures and documentation.
• Manage incident response and remediation processes.
• Coordinate with CCA auditors, external assessors and internal teams.
• Oversee and mentor the IT security team.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading cybersecurity compliance initiatives, especially CMMC Level 2 and DIBCAC.
• Strong background in IT security operations, risk assessment and incident response.
• Ability to produce and maintain detailed security documentation.
• Excellent coordination skills with auditors, assessors and cross‑functional teams.
• Leadership experience guiding an IT security team.
