Cyber Security Analyst (1-2 years experience)

About the role

AaraTech Inc is looking for an early‑career Cyber Security Analyst to join its security operations team. You will work closely with IT, engineering and compliance groups to monitor threats, investigate incidents and help safeguard the company’s systems and data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze and triage alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS and other security tools.
• Investigate potential incidents, document findings and support containment and remediation.
• Perform log analysis, threat detection and root‑cause analysis of security events.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning, assessment and remediation tracking.
• Collaborate on security initiatives with infrastructure, cloud, application and compliance teams.
• Support access reviews, IAM and privileged account monitoring.
• Help implement and validate security controls aligned with policies.
• Participate in incident‑response drills and post‑incident reviews.
• Contribute to audits, risk assessments and compliance activities (HIPAA, NIST, ISO, SOC 2, etc.).
• Maintain security documentation, runbooks and evidence.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, IT security or a related analytical role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of networking, operating systems and common threat vectors.
• Basic understanding of the incident‑response lifecycle and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, HIPAA.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
