Corporate Quality Expert - Thermal Processing

About the role

Provide market‑wide, field‑intensive thermal processing technical service to Nestlé factories, co‑manufacturers and licensees. Plan and execute process studies, evaluate data, strengthen factory controls and build specialist capability while progressing toward a Process Authority designation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, conduct and evaluate temperature/heat distribution, heat penetration and process validation studies across assigned sites.
• Review and approve thermal processing CCPs, operating procedures, sterility control programs and deviation evaluations within delegated authority.
• Lead cross‑factory analysis of process instability, over‑processing, spoilage and waste, and develop evidence‑based improvements.
• Maintain the market master list of thermal processing operations, conduct audits and support new system design and start‑up.
• Train, coach and assess Factory Thermal Processing Sr Specialists and ensure competency development through a documented apprenticeship plan.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry or related discipline; HACCP training required.
• Typically five or more years of experience in thermal process establishment, validation, verification or technical support across multiple products, packages or equipment designs.
• Significant travel (≈75%); hybrid/remote work possible when not performing field activities.
