Controls Systems Engineer

About the role

Join Trane Technologies as a Controls Systems Engineer and lead the development of high‑quality control and software products for HVAC embedded controllers and digital solutions. You will shape system designs, interfaces, and architectures while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across engineering, product management, sales, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership for new product development projects.
• Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle, from requirements analysis to test.
• Establish system architecture and decompose system‑level designs into detailed requirements.
• Evaluate trade‑offs between alternative solution approaches.
• Define system interfaces and conduct system analysis.
• Plan and execute system and performance testing.
• Lead design and technical project reviews.
• Investigate failures and drive resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting system and subsystem product designs, validation testing, and root‑cause analysis.
• Proven track record delivering new technology or product development projects that improve function, reliability, or cost.
• Effective collaboration with geographically dispersed, consensus‑oriented teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
