Controller – Lead Global Accounting & Close Processes

About the role

The Controller will lead the finance organization of a fast‑growing financial services firm. This senior position is responsible for overseeing the month‑end and year‑end close, external audits, technical accounting, and a global accounting team. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can quickly adapt to a dynamic environment and partner across Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end and year‑end close process for the enterprise.
• Manage external audits and act as the primary liaison with auditors.
• Oversee global accounting operations, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Develop and mentor a team of accounting managers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting efficiencies.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Operations teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of accounting teams.
• Strong background in financial reporting, close processes, and external audits.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
