About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a contract Physical Therapist to join the interdisciplinary team at the Kids First clinic in Fort Smith. This position focuses on providing evidence‑based evaluation and therapy for children from birth to five years old with gross‑motor delays or disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy assessments and treatment plans for the birth‑to‑5 population.
• Implement evidence‑based therapeutic techniques to improve gross‑motor function.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other specialists within the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants as needed.

Required profile

• Current Arkansas physical therapy license.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Required skills

• Proficiency in pediatric physical therapy evaluation and intervention.
• Ability to assess and treat gross‑motor delays.
• Experience supervising physical therapy assistants.
