Construction Superintendent

About the role

Clark’s Lansing office is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead daily field execution on K-12 school construction projects across Northern Michigan. Based in Alpena, you will ensure safe, high-quality learning environments while coordinating work around active school schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead 2-4 week look-ahead execution for each project.
• Coordinate daily trade sequencing, site logistics and occupied-building protocols.
• Enforce safety standards, cleanliness and schedule alignment with the Project Manager.
• Lead weekly trade coordination meetings and maintain detailed daily reports.
• Drive quality close-out, minimize punch-list items and represent Clark professionally with district staff.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Experience with K-12 or other occupied-building projects preferred.
• Strong short-term planning and trade coordination abilities.
• Clear, firm leadership presence on site and a deep commitment to safety and quality.
• Reliable transportation for active sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Phoenix construction management software.
• Experience using ProjectSight.
• Ability to work with Bluebeam for document control.
