About the role

The Cognitive Neurologist Physician will join Ochsner Health’s neurology department to provide expert evaluation and treatment for patients with cognitive disorders. This role emphasizes collaborative, patient‑centered care in line with Ochsner’s core values.

Key responsibilities

  • Examine patients, diagnose neurological conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document patient encounters in the Electronic Health Record and ensure accurate coding of visits.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, make referrals, and follow up on patient progress.

Required profile

  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Neurology (or related specialty) with a valid MD/DO license.
  • Credentialed and willing to maintain an active clinical practice at Ochsner.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and order entry.
  • Knowledge of medical coding standards for accurate billing and reporting.
