About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport are seeking a Cognitive Neurologist to join their academic Neurology department. The position is full‑time, academic, and offers leadership opportunities for a board‑certified or board‑eligible physician eligible for a Louisiana license.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical care to patients with neurological conditions, focusing on cognitive disorders.
• Educate medical students and neurology residents through clinic supervision, grand rounds, and didactic conferences.
• Participate in departmental activities and help expand the Dementia program.
• Mentor faculty and residents, sharing clinical expertise.
• Manage a large patient volume and contribute to regional leadership in Alzheimer’s care.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Eligibility for a Louisiana medical license.
