Clinical Lab Adjunct – Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Part‑time)

About the role

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking a part‑time Clinical Lab Adjunct to teach Diagnostic Medical Sonography on the Floyd County Campus. The role involves hands‑on laboratory instruction, coordination of student clinical rotations, and support for faculty in a campus‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate student clinical rotations at multiple clinical sites.
• Visit clinical facilities to monitor student progress and verify participation.
• Assist faculty with classroom instruction, examinations, record‑keeping, safety procedures, and attendance tracking.
• Tutor and mentor students in laboratory settings.
• Conduct laboratory research and maintain clean lab environments.
• Procure textbooks, equipment, and other instructional materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional travel up to two hours from Rome, GA.

Required profile

• Relevant education and credentials for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Current national credentials in Abdomen and Obstetric sonography.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer.
• Preferred prior teaching experience in higher education.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for clinical site visits.
