Civil Project Manager

About the role

The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead a variety of civil and municipal projects in Cleveland, OH. This role combines project leadership, technical oversight, and team development within a fast‑growing consulting firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to meet client expectations.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects from planning and feasibility through design, permitting, and execution.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and internal teams for clear communication and timely decisions.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and contract documents for new and ongoing projects.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, and ensure on‑time delivery of design packages and submittals.
• Lead project meetings, maintain documentation, and proactively resolve risks or issues.
• Provide technical direction for site design, stormwater management, and utility design.
• Conduct quality‑control reviews and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience managing civil/site‑development or municipal projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and common engineering design tools.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.
