Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Physician (Outpatient)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its growing Psychiatry & Behavioral Health team. The position offers full‑time or part‑time outpatient clinic opportunities with telepsychiatry and remote work options for physicians holding or willing to obtain a Louisiana medical license.

Key responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for children and adolescents with a wide range of behavioral, emotional and developmental conditions.
• Supervise and teach psychiatry residents, fellows and advanced practice providers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including APPs, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers and care coordinators.
• Develop and expand child and adolescent behavioral health programs, including integrated care and specialty clinics.
• Practice within Ochsner’s state‑of‑the‑art Neurosciences Center of Excellence (opening 2026) and tailor practice interests across subspecialties such as mood disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, trauma and comorbid medical conditions.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Valid Louisiana medical license or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to work in an outpatient clinic setting, with options for telepsychiatry or remote work.
• Commitment to teaching, research and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Experience delivering care via telepsychiatry platforms.
