Chest Radiologist – Section Head

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Chest Radiologist to lead its Cardiothoracic Radiology Section. The role combines clinical expertise, academic involvement, and collaboration across multiple specialties within a large integrated health system.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong collaboration with Pulmonary Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, Cancer Service Line, and Cardiology, participating in multidisciplinary conferences.
• Lead and oversee the Lung Screening program and related cardiothoracic imaging services.
• Coordinate the Congenital Heart Surgical program in partnership with Pediatric Radiology and support the Interventional Cardiology program for TAVR.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Chest Radiology.
• Experience with remote reading and flexible work schedules, with ability to provide coverage without on-call or weekend duties as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with advanced radiology technology, including PACS and RIS systems for data mining.
• Familiarity with AI and Natural Language Processing applications in imaging.
