Chemistry Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Chemistry Technician to prepare monomer mixes and packaging solutions, conduct release testing, and support laboratory operations for manufacturing. The role involves following SOPs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a cleanroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monomer mixes and packaging solutions, perform release testing and complete associated documentation.
• Set up batch processing, production, testing, and approvals while maintaining accurate records.
• Clean and maintain laboratory areas, equipment, glassware, and instrumentation between shifts.
• Receive, test, and document raw material deliveries; manage lab supply ordering.
• Report discrepancies to the Coordinator or Supervisor and assist with preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Develop and implement procedures compliant with ISO, FDA, GMP, and GLP requirements.
• Provide training and backup support for material preparation workflows.
• Work extended hours or overtime as needed to meet department goals.

Required profile

• 2 years of experience with an associate’s degree in chemistry, or 5 years laboratory experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in chemistry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO, FDA, GMP, and GLP standards.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, cleanroom environment.
• Proficient reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with business systems such as Agile, SAMM, and CVML.
• Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and make minor adjustments to laboratory equipment.
