About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a PRN basis to support the Orthopedic Rehabilitation Services team in Lafayette. You will deliver routine occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, ensuring high‑quality patient care and documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician and supervised by a licensed OT.
  • Document patient progress, status changes, and reassessments in daily notes and summaries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with documentation standards and policies.
  • Participate in staff projects, committees, and training activities as needed.

Required profile

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Eligibility for state occupational therapy assistant licensure and a current license prior to start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and good organizational abilities.
