Cell Saver Lab Technician (Contractor)

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a qualified individual to provide Cell Saver services for operative procedures. This contractor position works directly with surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient autologous blood collection and reinfusion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Cell Saver service during UAMS operative procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain Cell Saver equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Collect, process, and reinfuse autologous blood while adhering to patient safety protocols.
• Document all procedures accurately and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to support seamless operative workflows.

Required profile

• Must be an employee of a service contracted by UAMS for Cell Saver support.
• Fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or hold an approved medical or religious exemption.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
