Care Team Representative (Claims Support)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring an entry-level Care Team Representative in Irving, Texas, to provide empathetic service to callers about claims across multiple lines of business. The role covers expediting the claims process, taking detailed claim notes, resolving issues with a single call and directing calls to the right escalation path. The position is based in the Irving office and follows a flexible hybrid work style.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for callers from multiple client accounts in a shared services environment.
• Follow specifications when answering questions and solving problems related to claims applications and servicing.
• Perform claim intake and full-service customer support within regulatory, company and client expectations.
• Tell customers what documentation is needed, the time frames, payment information and claim status.
• Enter verbal and written claim information accurately into the appropriate system.
• Direct calls to the right contact at multiple locations or escalate to a Service Center Specialist or management.
• Attend scheduled work hours and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience; inbound call center experience preferred.
• Ability to meet performance competencies and attendance expectations.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Meets minimum typing requirements.
• Strong organization, multitasking and interpersonal skills.

The stated starting pay for this role in the listed jurisdiction is $17.85.
