Camp Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Nurse to join our medical team for a 2‑3‑week summer session at a premier sleep‑away camp in the Lake George region of the Adirondacks. You will provide on‑site health care for roughly 200 campers and 90 staff members, ages 7‑22, while living on the camp grounds.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute morning and evening medications to campers and staff.
• Respond to health concerns and provide basic medical care (4‑6 hours per day).
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for evenings.
• Collaborate with a team of 3‑4 medical professionals to ensure coverage.
• Notify camp directors of any significant health issues.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA) or Medical Doctor (MD).
• Experience providing medical care to children and young adults.
• Willingness to work and reside on site for the duration of the program.
• Enjoyment of outdoor environments is a plus.
