Calypso Test Engineer / QA Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Calypso Test Engineer / QA Specialist to own quality assurance for development, enhancement, and version‑upgrade workstreams across Money Market, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Collateral modules. The position involves functional, regression, and UAT testing with hands‑on automation using CATT and UFT/QTP.

Key responsibilities

• Define test plans and test cases for Calypso releases, enhancements, and upgrade/patch cycles.
• Execute functional and regression testing across core capital‑markets workflows.
• Build and maintain automated regression scripts using CATT and UFT/QTP.
• Test end‑to‑end flows and interfaces with upstream/downstream systems such as market data, settlement, accounting, and regulatory reporting.
• Validate version upgrades and hot‑fixes through structured regression and sign‑off.
• Log, triage, and track defects to closure using JIRA/Xray and support UAT cycles, including test‑data setup.
• Produce test summary reports and release‑readiness metrics for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of QA/testing experience on Calypso or similar capital‑markets platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with CATT and/or UFT/QTP for test automation.
• Practical knowledge of two or more Calypso modules (Money Market, FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Collateral/Margining).
• Working SQL skills for data setup, validation, and defect investigation.
• Experience with defect‑management tools such as JIRA, Xray, or ALM.
• Strong analytical ability to design test coverage from functional specifications.
