About the role
Santander is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to lead daily operations at its Melville, NY location. You will ensure the branch runs smoothly, securely, and delivers a high‑quality customer experience while supporting team development.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee cash handling, vault and ATM custodianship, and conduct regular cash counts and audit logs.
- Manage lobby flow, resolve customer issues promptly, and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to mitigate operational risk.
- Support teller operations, provide coaching, and monitor transaction accuracy.
- Engage customers through digital channels, promote self‑service options, and build strong relationships.
- Utilize data‑driven insights to improve branch performance and efficiency.
- Assist nearby branches when business needs arise.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bank branch operations or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of risk controls, cash handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
