About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a qualified Boiler Operator to join its Facilities team. This full‑time position supports the operation and maintenance of steam and hot‑water boilers that provide essential services to the campus.
Key responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and control boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of boiler equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs of operating parameters, maintenance activities, and any incidents.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and external vendors for repairs and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and university policies.
Required profile
- Legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Experience or training in boiler operation, power‑plant equipment, or related facilities services.
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed procedures, and respond to emergencies.
- Strong attention to safety and documentation requirements.
