Board Certified Rheumatologist – Outpatient Practice

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join its growing outpatient rheumatology team serving patients across Louisiana and Mississippi. The position is based in Slidell, offering a collaborative environment with strong internal referral networks and access to specialist support throughout the system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient care for a broad spectrum of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, spondyloarthropathies, and more.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record platform for patient documentation and care coordination.
• Work in clinics located on the North Shore of New Orleans and an infusion suite within Slidell Memorial Hospital.
• Maintain a practice model with no hospital call requirements, leveraging regional lab, diagnostic, and outpatient surgical services.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology.
• Experience managing diverse rheumatic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, and sarcoidosis.
