Bilingual Front Desk & Insurance Specialist – Cardiology

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate, bilingual Virtual Medical Assistant to join a Cardiology practice. The role focuses on managing high‑volume patient calls, verifying insurance eligibility, and communicating diagnostic results while providing empathetic support.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound patient phone calls through eClinicalWorks VoIP, assess needs, and route calls appropriately.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility before scheduling appointments.
• Process and coordinate urgent or stat appointments quickly.
• Communicate test results and urgent diagnostic reports to patients via TigerConnect.
• Maintain a professional, patient‑focused demeanor at all times.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Spanish (or another second language).
• Prior administrative or medical assistant experience in a Cardiology setting.
• Strong emotional intelligence, empathy, and patience when dealing with cardiac patients.

Required skills

• eClinicalWorks (eCW) proficiency.
• TigerConnect communication tool experience.
• Studycast familiarity (optional).

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a starting rate of $6 per hour.
• Monday‑Friday schedule, 8 am‑5 pm Eastern Standard Time.
• Remote work arrangement.
