Bilingual Dental Insurance & Patient Coordinator

About the role

A Prosthodontic and Periodontal practice is looking for a detail-oriented, bilingual Dental Insurance & Patient Coordinator. The ideal candidate is fully fluent in English and Spanish, has hands-on experience verifying dental insurance and authorizing benefits, and handles patient scheduling and phone outreach using Open Dental and Weave. This is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week).

Key responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility, deductibles, annual maximums, waiting periods and frequency limits directly with carriers, and support preauthorizations and predeterminations.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls in English and Spanish, following office scripts to schedule new patients, confirm appointments and fill schedule gaps from cancellations and no-shows.
• Maintain patient demographics and insurance data in Open Dental, manage appointment calendars and use Weave for patient outreach.

Required profile

• Full fluency in English and Spanish, verbal and written.
• Dental insurance experience: hands-on experience with dental insurance verifications, benefits documentation and preauthorizations; general medical verification experience does not qualify.
• Proven background in dental appointment scheduling, front-office workflows and schedule optimization.
• Prior experience in a prosthodontic, periodontal or high-volume specialist dental practice is preferred.

The schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm and Friday 7:00am-12:00pm PST. Pay starts at $6 per hour depending on skill set and experience.
