About the role

The Bagchi Summer Student program offers a hands‑on laboratory experience for undergraduate students during the summer term. Participants will work within the Physiology & Cell Biology department, contributing to ongoing research projects while gaining practical skills in a collaborative academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist laboratory staff with experimental setup, data collection, and sample processing.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow standard operating procedures.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss progress and troubleshoot experiments.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance protocols, including COVID‑19 vaccination requirements.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate student interested in physiology, cell biology, or related biomedical fields.
• Ability to work on-site in a laboratory setting for the duration of the summer term.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Compliance with university vaccination policy or an approved exemption.
