Autonomous Semi Technician – Night Shift

About the role

We are looking for a night‑shift technician to keep our Class 8 autonomous trucks running safely and efficiently. The role involves regular inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs on mechanical, electrical and sensor systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the autonomous Class 8 trucking fleet.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, sensor and other vehicle systems.
• Perform repairs and replace faulty components following Waabi work instructions and manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide feedback, support continuous improvement, and assist with new feature development.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Provide technical support to truck operators on vehicle systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in automotive technology or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a technician or mechanic in automotive, heavy‑duty trucking, or technology environments.
• ASE certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities for complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with truck maintenance, repair procedures, and autonomous driving technology.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as needed.
• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and adherence to protocols.
