Athletic Communications Associate

About the role

The Athletic Communications Associate supports the promotion and publicity of 18 NCAA Division III sports at SUNY Plattsburgh. This full‑year position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain statistics and records for all varsity sports.
• Update and design the athletics website.
• Edit video content for game highlights and promotional material.
• Supervise student workers assisting with communications tasks.
• Utilize StatCrew and other relevant software to manage data and content.

Required profile

• Commitment to a 12‑month term with availability for evenings and weekends.
• Understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity‑focused policies in a university setting.
• Ability to collaborate with the Enrollment and Student Success division and athletics staff.

Required skills

• StatCrew software proficiency.
• Video editing software experience.
• Website design and content management (CMS) skills.
• Statistical record‑keeping and data management.
