A&T Technician II – 2nd Shift (Torrance, CA)

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking an A&T Technician II for the 2nd shift (2 pm‑10:30 pm) at its Torrance, CA facility. Reporting to the Assembly and Test Supervisor, you will perform precision assembly and testing of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical flight‑actuator systems for advanced military aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble complex production and repair actuators following written and oral instructions.
• Adjust and align components using shims, torque wrenches, fixtures and precision measuring tools.
• Utilize dial indicators, calipers, micrometers and other gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct functional test operations on hydraulic and mechanical actuators.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot component failures and test discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to FAA safety‑sensitive requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with strong English comprehension.
• Minimum three years of assembly experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic environments.
• Experience in the aerospace industry and ability to read blueprints.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification is a plus.
• Eligibility for a security clearance.
• Basic math skills and proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
