Associate Tenure-Track Professor, Engineering Technology

About the role

Tarleton State University invites applications for a 9‑month tenure‑track Associate Professor position in Engineering Technology, based on the main campus in Stephenville, Texas. The role includes teaching laboratory‑intensive courses, developing curricula, and contributing to research and service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lectures, seminars and hands‑on laboratory courses in manufacturing technologies such as CNC machining, CAD, composites and electronics.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish scholarly work, and pursue external funding opportunities.
• Provide academic advising, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and participate in departmental and university service.

Required profile

• Doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours.
• Five to ten years of relevant industry experience teaching hands‑on laboratory courses.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
